Brief Biography

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine. I work with Prof. Michele Guindani (now at UCLA) and Prof. Weining Shen (UCI). I have been working with Prof. Federico Camerlenghi and Prof. Mario Beraha since my visit to the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan, Italy, in 2025. I am also working on a project in collaboration with Prof. Falco J. Bargagli Stoffi (UCLA).

My research interests include Bayesian methods, Bayesian nonparametrics, random partition models, random measures, point processes, repulsive mixture models, spatio-temporal and functional data analysis, causal inference, statistical imaging, multi-modal integration, neuroscience, behavioral science, and biomedical applications.

Starting in September 2026, I will be a CosmicAI Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin and the NSF-Simons AI Institute for Cosmic Origins. I will work with Prof. Alessandro Rinaldo and Prof. Arya Farahi in the Explainable Universe working group. My research will focus on simulation-based inference, nonparametric methods, optimization, and Bayesian inference, with an emphasis on new methodological advances that enhance the transparency, rigor, and reliability of AI systems for scientific discovery. ` `
